Sadiq Khan appoints James Murray as deputy mayor for housing

Sadiq Khan has appointed James Murray as deputy mayor for housing.

Mr Murray was the lead councillor for housing and development at Islington council, a role he held since 2010, having first been elected in 2006.

He advised Sadiq Khan during his selection and election campaigns. Before taking a position on Islington Council’s executive, he worked in Parliament and for a management consultancy.

He has lived his whole life in London, and currently lives near King’s Cross.
